1999 Jeep Grand Cherrokee 4.0 ac blows out when foot is off the gas pedal and does't blow out when accelerating. Makes it difficult in summer to keep it cool. Feels like a vacuum problem? Suggestion
AC blows out when I take the foot off the accelerator but doesn't work properly when
accelerating. Feels like a vacuum problem? Hard to keep cool in the summer. Any
suggestions of what to look for? Don't seem to have the problem in the winter.
There could be a vacuum leak in the source line, control head, 1or more of the vacuum motors that control the doors, you may have to remove the dash to gain access to the heater box. You might be able it over come the leak by adding some auxiliary vacuum canisters in the vacuum supply line with check valves but it would be temporary as the leak most likely get worse as time goes on.
