need help with parasitic draw on 97 grand cherokee orvis 5.2
put DMM at neg. cable/ post separation. FULL 12v draw. Pulled all 23 kick panel and 6
underhood mini fuses. pulled all maxifuses. still 12 plus v draw. removed all alternator
wiring. still no relief . Need help please
Disconnect the starter and see what happens. Also, does this have any add-on circuit directly to the positive terminal?, or improperly installed aftermarket equipment?
Using a volt meter is not the right way to test for a draw, even the KAM circuit will show a 12 volt draw, your after amperage on this test, put a test light in on the cable and battery connectors where you have the meter, if your have a bright light then you have a draw big enough to kill a battery overnight. HTH
