97 grand Cherokee overheating
What would be causing grand Cherokee to
overheat, I just replaced the water pump about 2
weeKS ago, but didn't replace thermostat because I
replaced it with the water pump almost exaxtly a
year ago. After it overheated, I waited till it cooled
then added 2 gals of water . No when I start it cold
it heats up pretty damn fast and I'm still adding just
under a quart of water every time. I can't find any
leaks, where 's the water going?
If you're losing that much coolant and there are no external signs, it has to be going through the engine, most likely through a blown head gasket or a defective intake manifold gasket. That means engine work.
