I have 97 jeep grand cherokee which don't
remember where this connection goes

Follow the cable down into the engine compartment. If any of the wires bolts to something metal, like the fender or engine block, it's the ground (-) cable. But if it bolts to the starter or the underhood fuse box, it's the positive (+) cable. HTH. -Jim

K I follow 2 of 4 wires looks like it goes to ecm on right side of fire wall not sure still if hot or ground

Where do the other 2 wires go? With the red stripe on one of the wires it's probably the hot cable. Emphasis on "probably"! HTH. -Jim


Judging by this diagram I'd have to say that cable is the positive (+) cable. You're looking at item #1 on the diagram. That's the positive (+) cable. See how there's more than 1 wire coming off the terminal? The ground (-) cable only has the 1 wire on it. HTH. -Jim


Ok guys just want to thank you for your time, I found those wires needed to hook up to the engine as a ground
