Jeep Grand Cherokee
I'm in need of help! My 93 jeep GC straight 6 4.0L
died on me while driving home, it sounded as if it
ran out of gas, I added gas, tried to start it wouldn't
turn over. Now because of having a baby it sat for
a few months, but before that I replaced the
radiator, clutch fan, freeze caps in the head,
distributor, fuel filter, new battery, crank censor
and spark plugs. It has fuel in the rods, pressure
and spark but still won't start! Please HELP!
It has to do with the wiring harness that runs on the firewall to the Brain. You will see a bundle of wires by your battery. Trace it to the back firewall behind your antifreeze reservoir;Jiggle the wires while someone trys to crank it. If it cranks take a towel and stuff it behind the reservoir and over the wires and you should be good to go.It could be your coil because when mine kept going dead we hooked the computer readout to it and it said the coil.Ihey have a habit of getting too hot and going out on the 93-2000 jeeps. And by by the way; All the problems we are having; The Dealer has no Clue how to fix them..They only want our money..Go Figure... Hope this helps you
