All wheel drive transformation?
I currently have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
that has under 100 miles on the meter. It
currently resides as a rear wheel vehicle.
Due to the impending snow storms this
year and years to come, I am considering
trying for a customization that changes its
rear wheel drive into an AWD system. Is
there a way to do this, or am I stuck with a
RWD until I can afford a new car with an
I hate to tell you but the Santa Fe is a FWD or Front wheel drive vehicle and should be fine in moderate snow. The cost to upgrade your current vehicle to AWD would be probhibitive. Wait till your ready to purchase another vehicle to get an AWD model.
Ditto what Tom said. Try getting new more snow friendly tires. Street treaded tires are great on dry pavement not so good in the snow. A more aggressive tread or snow tire will help.
