My Audi 2001 a6 quattro 2.7 liter dosent want to start after being run
I have had this car for a while and this problem started over a month ago. The car will
start up when its cold but after being run the car wont start for over two or three hours.
I had the codes checked and all that was showing was a MAF sensor code but they
told me that couldn't cause the problem. I don't have any clue what it could be
someone said it could be a thermostat problem but i don't know please help?
~Thought that I'd be a thermo-time switch...but cannot locate one of these for your car....but would be a thermal-electric-sensor type device gone wrong~
IAT sensor....probably, If I can put a hoof on one~
Try holding the gas pedal to the floor when trying to start it hot. Could be leaking fuel injectors flooding it out. If it starts watch for black smoke from the tailpipe. HTH. -Jim
sounds like catalytic converter plugs when warmed up and unplugs when cooled i have had this problem in other cars might be worth checking out when it wont start loosen cat at beginning and try to start good luck
