2002 audi tt quattro 225 hp

the car will start and die 3-4 times before it will keep running unless i pump the
gas pedal . then it runs rough and straightens out in 10-15 seconds runs fine
after that . i have replaced the fuel pump and mass air sensor . got any ideas ?
