Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I found a blown fuse link that I assume goes
to the starter, since nothing makes a sound
when I try to start the truck. I need to know
how to bypass the ignitionswich and put a
push button to start instead.

you need a multi tester to see what's actually going on . don't assume , test . It's usually best to run thing as they were designed . I've found they don't really provide an auxiliary hole in the fire wall to run custom wires

I was able to find what looks like the same color wire at the starter, and the starter seems to be the only thing that isn't working. I don't think the fuse link started smoking until I held the switch in the start position for a few seconds.
