i am looking at buying a 1999 gmc sierra 2500 pickup that needs new brakes. What am I looking at for repair

That all depends on what is actually wrong with the brakes, out my way a simple brake job runs about a 125 bucks per axle, so 250 for front and rear, but if there is more of the system that needs work it can expensive really fast, other things that are very common on older rigs are brakes hoses, calipers, wheel cylinders, master cylinders, ABS rabs valve, park brake cables and yes even brake lines can rust out. So roughly from 250 to 1500 bucks.
