In regards to my last question about my a/c it has been doing this for about two months. I don't see no visible signs of leaks.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I test my cycling switch and my compressor clutch
coil for an open?

Hook up you A/C gauges and watch the pressures as the engine is running, the A/C compressor should cycle at or around 28 to 30 on the low side. it should turn back on again at around 38 to 40. If it passes this test then hookup you inductive amp meter to the power feed to the compressor coil and run it until failure as you watch the meter, it should hold at a stable draw if the coil is good, if it is bad the amps will climb as the coil heats up then will show an open circuit upon failure.
