I have never had to deal with a regulator on a truck but Imagine its not too far off from a cars, Usually if a cable is broke in one we just put another regulator in all together, replacing the cables not worth the hassle. I really don't know if you will be able to buy a new one for your truck and even if you can it may not be worth the cost. Most of the new one's are Chine's and not worth a flip, we usually find a good used one. Hope I helped and best of luck.
