i have a 1990 ford tempo with bad struts. icant get the correct strut. ford quit making them. can i put one in that is 2" longer

need to replace strut with different longer strut 2" will this cause a problem.

Nope, get the right strut. You don't need a Ford one. OE aftermarket ones like KYB or Monroe are readily available. www.rockauto.com
