2000 gmc sierra. heater no blowing hot air
Have a 2000 gmc sierra. Heater not blowing out
hot air. Both input and output hoses hot. Can
switch temperature gauge and it will blow cooler
air . On hot it is just blowing lukewarm air . Putting
it on inside recylcling air does not make it any
hotter. Temp gauge is registering just below 210
Could be 2 things, one would be a bad temperature valve, a plugged heater core, or a blend door actuator.
Thought about the blend door but in summer it will blow ac great and i switch it to hot settining and it will blow out hot air
That was in the summer.
Must be either the temp adjuster dial on dash or what it controls. . Stays on luke warm output whether on cold or hot setting
Ok renege last answer. Now it goes to cold setting when dialed but lukewarm on hot.
Both heater hoses getting hot so there is circulation threw the heater core. So one of the HVAC blend door actuators may not be functioning, and there is a heater valve call out for this vehicle, but not sure if it regulates heat. I will be gone for an hour or so now.
I have a 2000 hmm siarra . Having a problem with it it is stuck on the defrost vent and only blowing hot air . I had the a/c checked out . They said it was fine working good ,and no leeks . They said my hvac control box was bad . I changed it but still the same thing ? What can it be .
