Most common is the transfer case shift motor, block the truck so it won't roll, put it in neutral, shut if the engine then try lightly tapping on the shift motor while someone pushes the button for 2wd hopefully it will it will shock the motor enough to run the transfer case into 2wd so you can drive it. If the motor won't run you will have to perform a circuit check ti make sure the control unit is operating properly. You can remove the shift motor and manually put it in 2wd mode, just remember that you did this as you will have to match the transfer case position with there shift motor pawl position.
