I have 2000 GMC 1500 5.3 litre Engine, in very cold weather starts fine, runs for few seconds than engine wants to stall than engine revs up for few seconds tahn again wants to stall, at time it will stall. Start the engine again runs for few seconds reveving up & down than runs fine after 40-50 seconds, anyone knows what this could be ??
Could be a bad IAC (Idle Air Control) valve on the throttle body. Or the throttle body may be dirty. HTH. -Jim
I agree with Jim. Check your iac.
