1997 GMC sierra won't crank and the radio and clock don't light up
1997 Gmc sierra with 250000 kms on it. It died driving to work one day
and the mechanic changed the distributer cap and the coil and it ran fine
for a week. Then it just stopped starting. Put the chager on the battery till
fully charged and tried it again. nothing. No cranking and the lights from
the clock and the radio didn't work either. Although all the rest of the lights
any suggestions ?
Check battery voltage, should be 12.4vdc. If battery is good and still won't turn over, check all battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight. If all cables are ok, check for voltage at the starter solenoid small terminal. If voltage is present and still no crank, replace starter
I think starter is bad,
