i have a 97 gmc 1500 pick up. when i go in reverse it is really hard to move. it feels like something is binding up. in drive it is fine. i replaced all the u-joints.
You have to check the transmission oil level with the motor running. the stick is somewhere up there against the firewall. Be sure the level is between the two hash marks. if it is low, inspect for leakage on the transmission coolant lines to the radiator, and coming out of the transmission. You can also look at the condition of the fluid to see if it's brown and if it's been overfilled. Also how are your brakes, perhaps the hydraulics are causing some binding to occur.
coast backwards in netural ,no drag then trans sprag clutch, run cleaner in trans drain refill fresh,50 50 for results, unless 4x4 and transfer case bind 4 wheel only
what if it wont coast backwards in neutral
