GMC wont turn over

Asked by Xeorty Feb 22, 2018 at 04:19 AM about the 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 C1500 SL Extended Cab LB

On way to work truck mug down and died on side
of the interstate the truck start up again and died
again at first wait. It might be too distributor so we
change the distributor cap and rotor button it is still
won't turn over and check the fuel and we're
thinking that is not getting into the engine any
ideas? It is a V8 vortex 305

get down on the ground and get someone in the cab and if you hear a whining noise from under the truck it not your fuel pump,but if you don't hear the whining noise than your pump is bad;but if that not the problem check the fuel pressure. you could have a issue with your fuel line from your tank to your engine;and also see if your truck has a fuel filter
