Heads that have 250,000 miles are likely to need valve guides, seals and a valve job. Fine some cheap 350 heads somewhere. Salvage yard or Craigslist would be a couple of choices.

Ok thanks for the help. I'm trying to get this done by myself and I'm terminally I'll but I only have money to pay for parts. People from the south like to say there good hearted fine people but, I've had one person step up but, he is full time Army and got transfered he found out I'm a military bratt. Maybe one day one of those TV shows won't require you live in Ca. Or IL. Thanks for the advice I'll propably leave the heads that are on it alone I've just heard so.much about how vortec heads increase hp and I figured if they'd work I'd use them.

I think I read that some 350 heads used on a 305 block may have valve to block contact which requires special machining to correct.
