i have a 1994 gmc k1500 with a v6. when i stop at a light for more than a minute the check engine light comes on, it will go off after i start going again. it has new oil, plugs-cap-rotor and wires as well as a new coolant temp. sensor...what gives?
Have the codes pulled, that should help in guiding you to what is starting to go haywire.
Even if the light goes off the codes are still in the computer. HTH. -Jim
Yep, it stores them in memory, they will stay there for about 10 to 15 cold starts.
