I took the bed off my GMC 1500 1990 truck and changed the fuel pump, it started fine, put the bed back on it and now it will not start, what happened?

the truck would not start so we took the bed off and changed the fuel pump. It started and run fine, we even drove it down the rode. After we put the bed back on the truck the truck would not start. Help!

I had one like this once and there was trouble with the connector. Have a friend keep keying up and shutting off to verify the start up 1-2 sec interval. Then you go with your test light or voltmeter, verify power and ground, an what one is the sender. If you have loose fitting tubes in the connector it can come and go by moving it around perhaps. Has to fit snug at each wire to pass current.
