No communication with outsider scanner

Asked by Liengphethsaya9999 Jan 21, 2019 at 12:16 AM about the 2004 Dodge Sprinter Cargo 2500 140 WB RWD

I have 2004 Dodge Sprinter.. t21 upgrade has been
done could not smog, won't communication with
any computer took it in for repair, Chrysler said it
only talk to their computers, case closed...I need
help vehicles only have 82,000 miles...dealer
suggest ecm replace but will it work?

Invest sometime into learning the DLC / OBD connector then test the correct pin(s) for voltage. or pay for the ecu try. (This isn't difficult) communication error in CAN BUS system.

@Liengphethsaya9999 I have the same van and the same issue. It won't connect with the obd device. We tried a new ecm but the dealer couldn't complete the programming of the new ecm so they put the old one back in. Did you ever figure it out? Thanks Andy
