What are the characteristics of a bad O2 sensor in a 91 thunderbird SC?

ALL OF A SUDDEN ACTED AS IF IT
WERE OUT OF GAS OR THE FUEL
PUMP/FILTER WAS BAD.

Bad O2 sensor you would get an idle issue or bad MPG. Check your ignition components, like plugs and wires first, then fuel pressure.

Since you already reference the fuel system I would check your gas milage. If it is bad, you probably have a drop in milage.
