i have a van  3500 and when i'm driving it once in a while it  kind  of like  pulls while i'm
driving it.Someone told me that it pulls because the transmission filter  need to be
changed but I need to know if that is true i have never heard of a transmission filter.

Usually a bad filter won't let enough fluid through to even move the vehicle, if it is partial plug it will shutter during shift points.. If you have any concern with a transmission get it serviced. Have you ever serviced the trans?
