re: fuel filter replacement on my van. It has a 5.9 l engine on it. It was parked for 5-7 yrs. I drained the old gas out of it and need to replace the fuel filter. How do I get to it?

on my 96 dodgeram 1500 withthe360 it didnt have a legitimate canister style inline fuel filter like you would expect. its a filter sock connected to the intank fuel pump and im not sure that you can buy the sock, but they generally dont clog. but if your dead set on getting to it you have to dropthe gas tank

Thats what we ended up doing. Dropped gas tank and replaced old pump with new pump.
