In the 91 Ford Escort Lx does the door locks require a second key other then the ignition key?

Not usually but if the ignition lock cylinder has been replaced at some point then you'd have a separate key for the ignition. My '94 Escort Wagon had two keys for exactly that reason. HTH. -Jim
