Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought this car for my son. On the way home after driving about 50 miles pulled out on the road it just guit he pulled over and started it back up. Got it home. Next day changed oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter, coolant, front brakes. Went to drop off for the inspection and it died again for just a second and it came started back up by itself. What could be causing this?? Any help please. Thanks

I know with my 91' escort, the mechanic had to wire a bypass to the fuel pump becuase it wasn't getting power... But mine wouldn't start at all, so it's likely a different problem. Check the fuel pump though. otherwise it ran great. Great car. Mine has over 400,000kms on it now
