Put in new starter van still won't start why?

I have a 2003 dodge grand caravan the
other day I was driving felt a vibration when
I was pushing on the gas paddle then a few
minutes later I hered a clank noise I stopped
at a gas station because I needed gas I shut
the car off put the gas in when to leave and
the car wouldent start tryed to jump it that
dident work batter was testing bad got a
new battery and still nothing then I was told
it was the starter got the starter had it put in
and now the van still won't start it turns over
but it's not enough and after 2 or three time
of trying to start it the batter dies I don't
understand

Check the stater relay, and the stater you put in could be bad out of the box, also check to make sure your stater is installed correctly that it is lined up with the teeth on the flywheel if not it will not start the car....

Sounds like a fuse problem cranks,turn over but no start.....or security is on.... Some cars u have to close all doors then manmanualinsert key into driver door lock and unlock to reset..... Good luck N keep us posted.
