If it is leaking out fluid as fast as you are adding fluid, then you are damaging the transmission by driving around. Heat is a killer of transmissions and without fluid, heat builds up quickly. Since you already have rough noises and the transmission not moving, I would say your transmission is cooked and your looking at installing another transmission in the van if you want to keep it. I would recommend a used one for cost.
