Check engine light is on for a reason, there is a fault code stored and you need to correct it. Scan the car for codes at your local auto parts store and post the codes back here. If you don't want to work on the car yourself, your local mechanic can help get your car running like new again. It could be a hundred different things what the light is on and your car stalling.

Thanks Tom I really appreciate your help I'll go ahead do that and will post
