Can I make a 2007:crankshaft work in an 2002 pt cruiser

OMG I'm sorry can I make the crankshaft sensor work in this case they are in different positions. I guess I need to know if the motor will work. Something isn't right because the motor ran in the original car but when I put it in my 2002 body it won't run.
