light problems

my 2002 pt cruiser has tailights but the brake lights do not work and the rear turn signals do not work What could this be ????

I would first check the fuse box and then the bulbs themselves. however, it is very uncommon for the two bulbs to blow out together. My deduction would be the fuses. Look in your owners manual for the location of the box, it should be labeled as to what fuse controls what. Also, you can see a blown fuse at a glance.. Just replace it and you're good to go.
