Bad EMC?

Asked by Oct 10, 2016 at 02:51 PM about the 1992 Ford Ranger Custom Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 92 Ranger with 2.3l will start and idle, but touch the gas pedal and it dies.
Tested TPS and EMC ground wire has 5.6 volts. After further testing found all
ECM internal ground wires have 5.6 volts. I have not seen that before.
Thinking the ECM is bad. Wondering if anyone else has come across this
issue and what they figured out. Thanks
