why do headlights flash on and off after driving

after driving for about 10 min headlight will go off then come back on in about a 45 sec
intervals

check connections and ground wire....

Is your car a mark cross edition if so its the factory security trying to arm, often the previous owner goes through this same problem and neglects to mention its a problem. If not factory alarmed the is a control box that times the headlights out, especially if you have auto lights or what's called twilight sentinel in other cars auto on auto off see if your light switch says something like that or the manual if equipped put it on normal off setting.
