What do I do if my timing gets off on my 92 Ford Escort my lines on my timing belt or not lined up

The car will not run well and have diminished power, and if the belt brakes can do damage. Get this looked at ASAP.

Actually it probably won't run at all and if your valves contact the pistons you will bend valves.
