How can I fix my audi a3 2006 fuel pump?
The car was on empty, then a week after the car started and then shut down. Apparently was out of fuel so we got fuel to the tank and since then it would not work (start). Help me!
When running the fuel pump dry, you can A. burnt it out, B. get all the dirty on the bottom of the tank sucked up into the pump and fuel system, lines and injectors. You'll need to diagnose if your pump is working or it's just dirty in your lines. Do you hear the pump priming when you turn the key? If not, you'll have to replace the fuel pump and I would also change out the filter. If you don't know how to do this, take it to a professional/local mechanic who will get your going again.
