Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I opened the door with FOB and systems seemed ok, bell dinged when put key into ignition ready to start. Decided to rinse car off, turned key off, rinsed car, got back in, turned key, dead as a doornail.  Acted as if battery was disconnected. FOB no lornger working, no lights nor hint of electrical power.   I opened the trunk to access battery, checked terminals, clean, but noticed a slightly audible intermittent noise apparently coming from Power Distribution Box.  I disconnected + battery cable & let it set for awhile.  Reconnected, no noise this time & still no hint of power.

Did you check the battery voltage? Did you leave door open, key in on position or radio on for an extended length of time? If so battery probably dead. Check battery voltage. Or maybe even try jump starting it. But if battery real dead your best bet is to fully charge it.

Thanks...i finally did a 'voltage test' w a pc of wire between poles to see if any spark...barely a pop, dead. I guess FOB wkg & chime when keys in had me thinking something happened. I jumped w alt car drove around...lets see what tomorrow brings...thx!

The experience also taught me how to open trunk w no power discovering through online query the auxillary manual key release I never knew about
