I have a 2005 Ford Taurus..heat stopped working.. a day later a warning light came on saying check engine temperature..
There was no fluids in resoviour ..I put 3 big
bottles of fluid and it only filled it half way..
The next day there was no fluid..and when I
drive there is smoke or steam coming out
the resovour (not sure if spelling it right)
what's is wrong and how much do u think I
will be paying to fix this? Help...
Could be a blown head or head gasket, Have it block checked, that way you will know for sure. If it is it won't be cheap.
Worse case, head gasket. Best case, radiator. $350.oo to $1500.00
Some people was saying it could be the hoses or a leak somewhere... I called the mechanic that does stuff on cooling systems I explained the same thing here and they said could be a leak somewhere..they never said anything about a head gasket
Take it to a shop you trust, have them pressure test the system, see if a leak shows up, if it don't then opt for the block check.
OK ty gonna take it today to find out
