When starting my taurus, the dome light and all dash lights flash you can hear a clicking sound and the door ajar beem gets consistent like an alarm. I only stops when you hold down the window button. When you let go, it starts again. Occurs when I turn the key, not even started the car yet. Any ideas? It sounds like a short but need ideas so the repair shop does not go fishing and I don't go broke. Help please

This one might best be found by pulling ALL your accessory fuses. One at a time start putting them back in and pay attention to when you start getting symptoms again. That should be your problem circuit.....

Thank you Aztec. I will try that and see what happens.

keep in mind a grounded bare wire in your circiutry can make your electrical go haywire. Easy fix once you find the bare wire.
