Ford taurus smoke and leakage
I have an 04 taurus that has a leak on the driver
side down by the radiator. Smoke was coming
from the hood and a puddle of liquid was under the
car . My car isnt over heating and the fan is kicking
on. Can someone please tell me what the problem
Do you know what the liquid is? If it's not radiator fluid, it could be power steering fluid, if it leaked from the pressure line it could spray on the exhaust manifold and cause smoke and a burning smell. You'd know if it were power steering related the first time you tried to drive it. Another leak source near that area is your transmission cooler lines, which run to the radiator as well. That one will be harder to notice just from driving, until it was too late. Check the tranny fluid level to be safe. Basically you should check all your fluid levels and keep looking until you find the leak. It would really help us to help you if you could post back what the liquid is.
When I checked under the hood it was wet by the radiator and bottom pantal on thr driver side. It smelled and looked like antifreeze. I will check all levels again to make sure. Thanks
So when i cut on my heat it smokes bad all of my fluids are at level. Still not over heating and thr liquid is antifreeze / coolant. Help please
