Is it possible to disable the keypad on a 2004 Ford Taurus SEL?

Asked by Sep 12, 2016 at 01:58 PM about the 2004 Ford Taurus SEL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a car for my daughter on craigslist and the guy told me the code was
the last two buttons and push twice.. But also told me it would need a new
one. Well, the lock stopped opening and not releasing the lock.. Getting the
door done today and wanted to just disable the keypad if possible.. I hope it
doesn't interfere with the theft feature.. Anybody?
