My Motor Won't Turn Over

Asked by James May 10, 2021 at 03:18 AM about the 2002 Ford Taurus SES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After the first 9 hours of the Artic
Freeze in Houston,Tx. When I
turned the key it went , Clunk
Clunk then click click click. Tried
jumping it & got the same result. I
inststalled a brand new battery &
starter. Turned the key and it was
a louder Clunk sound but still
wouldn't turn the motor over.
Four freeze plugs popped out and
I replaced three , I still need to
replace the hard to get too one in
the back of the motor. There's not
any water in the oil - the oil looks
great. It has 30K original miles
and Carmax up to date. I had a
small hole in my water resvoir so i
put windsheild wiper fluid instead
of antifreeze due to my paycheck
not being here until the following
week. I don't understand why my
motor won't turn over. Now the
battery cables were abnormally
hot.  ?? I'm stumped in a serious
wsy ??

1 Answer

I suspect you ruined the engine because you did not have antifreeze in the engine.
