2002 Taurus Check Engine Light is on all time, but no codes.

Asked by Sep 16, 2012 at 10:53 AM about the 2002 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will not go off either by OBD reset or disconnecting the battery for an hour. This has two mechs
puzzled.

Have to get this fixed to pass already overdue TX inspection.

All suggestions appreciated

I found two sources with the same issue and it turned out to be a faulty gas cap. Try replacing or reseating it.
