AWD wont work! why?

Asked by Feb 19, 2016 at 07:52 PM about the 2006 Ford Five Hundred SEL AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My ford five hundred traction control light comes
on after 10 minutes or so of driving. Once it comes
on the AWD wont work, only the front wheels
engage. Can someone please tell me why? Thank

The light is telling you to get it checked out, could be a bad connection at the wheel speed sensors or a speed sensor itself, get the codes read and write them down then repost them back here and someone will jump in and help you along with further diagnosis.
