I have a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. Whenever I come to a stop my motor feels as if it is jumping. And when i sit still for a short period of time my car idles up. What's going on?

Dirty Throttle body or IAC. Take off your air filter hose and clean it up with some throttle body cleaner found at more auto parts stores. Here is a link for doing so for a taurus, it is the same engine and configuration......... http://www.ehow.com/how_7213930_clean-throttle-body-ford-taurus.html
