Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Ford five hundred limited wouldn't
start, mechanic replaced the alternator. The
car starts just fine now, so far no problems

get the message " check charging system" ,
Battery is less than 1 year old . any

well it almost sounds like grounding, so check out those wires on the battery and get back to me if the problem continues -RTBBilly

RTBBilly, do you mean check out the ground wire, negative, on the battery and make sure it's not frayed, or corroded? Thanks, John

oh my apologizes John, i was a little unclear, yes the wires is what i was trying to say. but i mean the two of them both positive and negative. and yeah i meant look for corrosion. also the small black ground wire next to the "starter relay". again sorry for the confusion. i'm still here to help -RTBBilly
