pressure washed engine, now all kinds of problems(have washed before not often never had a problem)

poor gas mileage  6mpg
cranks and idles smoothly
surges and bucks   while driving
transmission not shifting properly
i do know egr valve needs replacing
130,000 miles

You probably got the coil wet. I would pull all the spark plugs, spark plug wires and the coil and dry them out. When re-installing them, seal the rubber boots with dielectric grease. If you CEL is on you may have ruined the coil pack. Have the codes read to know more.

Also, it may take several days to dry everything out. Pressure washing drives water deep into electrical components. The plugs, wiring, and other things are designed to seal out dampness and road splash. But not the force of water under high pressure. HTH. -Jim
