If you had the right charging port and you were sure it was opening, then there must be a blockage in the system, I have seen the disscant bags come apart in the accumulator tank and plug up the orface tube and generally cause quite a mess internally, I have a feeling that this system is going to have to be disassembled to find the blockage, get it flushed out and the bad componets replaced, then evacuated and recharged with oil and 134A. HTH
