02 explorer: DRIVERS SIDE drip tube at the bottom of the firewall dripping coolant when engine overheated and cooling system wasn't relieved of high pressure yet. Under normal driving conditions this doesn't happen and coolant levels stay normal. Have replaced thermostat and fan clutch seems to check out ok. Explorer xlt has only overheated after driving interstate and then getting caught in traffic. doesn't have a problem in normal driving in-town or normal interstate driving. Any ideas about the coolant from drivers side and the overheating problem?
If coming from the tube you say. Its the heater core leaking.
Drip Tube? Is it a v6? Where does the tube come from? I haven't seen on my 2003.
